Robert B. Bamshad, M.D.
Medical Director & Board-Certified Urologist
Dr. Bamshad obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He subsequently attended the USC Keck School of Medicine and graduated with the distinction of Dean’s Scholar for Academic Excellence. Thereafter, Dr. Bamshad completed an internship and residency in general surgery and a residency in urology at Loma Linda University. He has authored numerous scientific papers, and his research findings have been presented at national and international urologic meetings.

In private practice since 1999, and currently located next to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Bamshad was elected by his colleagues to serve two terms as clinical chief of the division of urology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Bamshad is highly regarded for his compassion and dedication towards his patients. He remains actively engaged in helping them with a variety of urological issues, including erectile dysfunction. Dr. Bamshad is the Medical Director for Vascogenesis® and directs medical policy and oversight in the administration to clients of the Vascogenesis® Protocol.

Mark Emberton, M.D., FRCS
Professor of Interventional Urology
Dr. Emberton is Professor of Interventional Oncology at the University College London. He is an Honorary Consultant Urologist at University College Hospitals' NHS Foundation Trust and Founding Pioneer of The Charity Prostate Cancer UK. He was appointed Dean of UCL Faculty of Medical Sciences in 2015. Professor Emberton’s clinical research is aimed at improving the diagnostic and risk stratification tools and treatment strategies for prostate cancer. He specializes in the implementation of new imaging techniques, nanotechnologies, bio-engineering materials and non-invasive treatment approaches, such as high intensity focused ultrasound and photo-dynamic therapy, as well as in innovative techniques to assist with post-surgery erectile function and rehabilitation. His research has been published in over 300 peer-reviewed scientific papers in journals including BMJ, Lancet Oncology, and European Urology. He has also contributed to the development of guidelines for the management of prostate cancer and lower urinary tract symptoms, published by the International Society of Geriatric Oncology and the European Association of Urology. Professor Emberton is also involved in teaching within UCL and the London and South East Urological Training scheme. In addition to being a member of various urological and medical organizations (American Association of GenitoUrinary Surgeons, British Association of Urological Surgeons, European Association of Urology), he is a founding partner of London Urology Associates.
Stephen Scionti, MD
Board-Certified Urologist
Dr. Stephen Scionti is the Founder and Director of The Scionti Prostate Center, Sarasota, FL. He is globally recognized for his work in advanced prostate cancer diagnostics and minimally invasive prostate cancer therapy, and most specifically in image guided thermal ablation technologies. Dr. Scionti formerly served as Clinical Associate Professor of Urology and Director of Prostate Cancer Ablation Surgery at the Joel E. Smilow Comprehensive Prostate Cancer located at the New York University School of Medicine and Langone Medical Center. Prior to his NYU appointment, he was medical director and founder of the Hilton Head, SC International Center for Men’s Health. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Scionti has developed the largest, and most experienced, practice for prostate cancer treatment using minimally invasive thermal ablation technologies such as HIFU and Cryoablation in the United States, and he is considered one of the world’s most experienced HIFU surgeons. He has achieved global recognition for his experience, skill, and groundbreaking clinical contributions in the field of image-guided prostate cancer ablation. He is also an internationally recognized authority in innovative prostate cancer diagnostics. Beyond his practice, Dr. Scionti actively researches and lectures on the outcomes and technology associated with minimally invasive prostate HIFU therapy ablation, as well as methods and treatments associated with post-ablation rehabilitation of erectile function in prostate cancer clients.
